Prelude: Good, Good, Father
Grace, Mercy, and Peace to you from our Victorious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Dear Jesus, thank you for the love you shower upon us. Be with those of us who gather together today, be with our friends who need to stay home to be safe - please send the Holy Spirit to all who gather in your name, be it in person or virtually. Amen.
Mutual Virtual Greeting: Call a friend or family member and say "hello!"
Prayer of Confession / Assurance / Prayers of the People:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you so much for taking care of us in this time of pandemics and political unrest. We confess that we often fail to treat one another with respect or love, that we have forgotten that you loved us even when we were enemies, and that you call us to do the same. Please, Lord, help us to love like we do, help us to love one another as your Word tells us to.
We pray that you continue to be with our church and community, especially as covid-19 cases continue to rise around our country and even here in our neighborhoods. Be with our hospitals and healthcare workers as they face an unprecedented case load and have to make difficult decisions over who can receive treatment.
We also pray for members of our family…
Be with all those who are sick, sad, lonely, or afraid - give them your grace and let them feel your presence beside them.
This we pray in the name of Lord and Savior, victorious Lamb of God, who comes to make all things new. Amen.
