Prelude: Bhajo Ram by Aradhna; these folk grew up as missionaries in India and strive to write culturally sensitive Christian music for the population of north western India.
Grace, Mercy, and Peace to you from our Victorious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Our Lord and Savior, thank you that we are your church and that your church is not constrained by walls and a roof. Please be with all of our sisters and brothers who miss each other in these times and for those who must remain secluded to be safe. Send your Spirit to each of us that we would feel your love and grace as we worship.
Prayer of Confession / Assurance / Prayers of the People:
Jesus, our brother, our savior, forgive us when we forget what you have saved us from and what you have carried us into - eternal salvation and freedom from the curses of sin and death. Please help us to remember to rejoice, even when times are difficult, and to love one another with the love that you have shown us.
This morning, we ask that you be with members of our family both here and abroad:
Thank you for giving us this beautiful earth for our home. Please continue to guide all of our leaders in crafting a future that demonstrates the shalom of your kingdom. Grant civility and wisdom to all of us in this nation as we learn to celebrate our differences instead of dividing into enmity.
We also ask, for all who are lonely, sick, sad, or afraid, that you be with them all, let them know that you sit beside them, let them feel your arms wrap around them.
These things we pray to you, our Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Song of Assurance: How Can I Keep from Singing? (this is a new song that we've sung once in church)
Giving: Please consider a gift to the ongoing ministry of our church.
Song of Offering: They Will Know We Are Christian's By Our Love
Children's Song: I'm Adopted!
Video Sermon: Adoption - Romans 8:12-25
Song of Response: How Deep the Father's Love for Us
Dear Lord, thank you for delivering us from this body of death and for providing us with a future full of life. Teach us to live into that hope, that our lives would be full of joy and peace, and that we would share your promises with all that we meet. Amen.
May the God of Hope, grant you all joy and peace in faith, so that you overflow with Hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Closing Song: We Receive Your Blessing
